Catching you up...

Let me catch you up on what all we have been doing..

Tom and I went to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss last weekend and WOW what a show! I LOOOVE Robert Plant so I was thrilled to see him. I did not know much about Alison but seeing them together was a treat for my ears! Her singing is so amazing and at times I caught myself listening with my mouth open! HA HA! Tom would reach over and squeeze my hand so I knew that he was enjoying it. He purposely did not listen to any of their album RAISING SAND before the show so that he could be surprised. Course, I bought the CD on ITUNES after the show cause I was so in love with the songs. It was a great, great show..

The kids went to a camp here in middle Tn called Deer Run. It is a day camp that is about 15 miles from where we live so it would be about the 20 minute drive to and from the camp. Last year the kids LOVED it.. this year, not so much. I think that the week that we chose was lightly attended, so they did not have many kids their ages to play with. There was one kid at camp that hung out with Ian and drove Lindsey into a fit of rage the first day at camp. He caught a small toad that lindsey had let loose earlier and he took it home with him. She was crying on the way home convinced that he would kill it somehow and not release it back into the wild. My poor baby was so upset! She does not tolerate cruelty to animals..not one bit! I think that I have a future GREENPEACE member in my family..

July is about to end and our 16th year anniversary is coming up along with Toms bday. He will be 41 and could care less. Funny how after you hit 40 your reaction is just like..."whatever!" HA HA

If I think of anything else I will post later. Right now I am brain dead.

Funny in the morning!

Back

We are back. Some of us did not want to come back. Some of us were eager to get back to the way we live. Our trip to the lovely state of South Carolina was fantastic. Taylin joined us on our 2 weeks adventure and it was wonderful having her along! All in all there was No major drama, no one was sick; the trip was perfect. My nieces wedding was beautiful and I got to dance in my posh sexy dress Tom bought for me. Tom looked spiffy in his new pin striped suit. The kids looked fantastic.

Funny but one of the first days that we were in SC, we were at a cookout for Fathers Day, and the heat was about to melt me. I had fogotten how hot it was in SC. Well I didn't FORGET but I guess that my body has acclimated more to the TN weather so when I get around HEAT like that, I just want to run away. So I stayed in the little pool house that had air conditioning. Im a wimp.

One cool incident that happened is that Tom and Taylin got to sit in with one of Toms friends, Jack Easterling and his band. His band HIJACKED was playing in a bar in Columbia, and jack invited Tom to play in several songs and even got Taylin in singing Sweet Child Of Mine. It was a blast and was so much fun to see Tom smiling and having the time of his life! Taylins voice was incredible and she nailed the song. She totally rocked it out and put Axl Rose to shame!
